REVIEW : Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color SPF 12 in #11 "Rose Blossom"

My first Bobbi Brown product I purchased. For real.. I do have another Bobbi product such as lip glosses. Also tried my sister's lipstick, but never bought one until this. Lol.

The product I purchased is Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color SPF 12. The shade I choose is #11 Rose Blossom. I really fall in love with this color since I saw the swatch made by Christine from Temptalia; one of my favorite beauty blog; also my inspiration in blogging.. <3

#11 Rose Blossom was described as bright plummy pink rose. The swatch on Christine's lips appeared to be a very bright pink. The tube is square in shape, and black in color. It's actually a common packaging for high-end lipstick, but it's velvety tube makes it feels luxurious. It's pretty sturdy.

When I received mine, I saw the actual color (on tube) isn't as bright as the picture depicted. It's much more like a dusty rose, in my opinion. However, when I tried it on my lips, it turned out bold and pretty! It's not as bright as on Christine's though. It turned out somewhat hot blue-pink, while on me it turned out softer. The color's bolder when seen in person, than in picture.

 I'm pretty sorry for the bad photograph; thus the reason I put TWO lip swatches at once.

In this picture I was wearing this product, and its real color was appearing quite clearly. The color is very suitable for both special occasions, and also for days out.

The color itself is very pigmented. It also glides easily on lips, even without lip balm underneath, but I find it quite hard to blend when applied directly from tube. It can be pretty messy. I have to dab a small amount of it, then blend them by patting with fingertips. It blends better with a lip brush.

This product has a creamy texture with semi-matte finish, which I like from a lip color. It's not drying my lips at all, unlike my sister's (lipstick from the same range) Miami Coral, which I found quite drying. I might consider purchasing other color.. =D
